On The Days When You Doubt Who You Are & Who You’re Becoming…
Every time I drift to doubting who I am, who I’m becoming & what God has created me to do, God shows up—sometimes in subtle ways & sometimes in bright, big ways—& says, “HEY! Baby girl, I know what I’m doing. Take a deep breath. You’re made with purpose, your story is headed somewhere & you’re going to be ok. I have a plan. I just want you to be willing & ready. Are you?”
I am so very thankful for a God who SEES me, LOVES me, & always REMINDS me He’s there, I’m not alone, He has a plan, I’m fashioned with purpose…
For anyone else who sometimes doubts & struggles & questions this grand journey of becoming who God made us to be, I’m banking on these truths & want to share with you too:
“I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. ‘When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen.'” (Jeremiah 29:11-12, MSG)
“My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so THE WEAKER I GET THE STRONGER I BECOME.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10, MSG)
Lace up your warrior boots, friend. We have the key…we just have to choose to be her. On the days when it feels just a little bit harder than others, I’m reminding myself of who I am & Whose I am…I am a warrior, a daughter of the King of Kings, He has a plan, and I’m becoming who He made me to be. Hey friend, you’re becoming too. Cheering you on big time.
